YSA Christmas Progressive Dinner

On December 10th, we met together to have a progressive dinner after Church.  I went with Gary and the young adult men while Jena headed out with the other young adult sisters.  We had yummy lasagna at one home and then switched and had hor d'oeuvres at another home and then met up at Sister Cook's house near the Arkansas River.  She has a beautiful home filled with interesting things from the Middle East and Africa where they lived many years while her husband worked in the oil industry there.  (Sidenote:  Their paths cross with our Hong Kong friends, Frosty and Liisa Berg which is always fun to make those connections.)

At each home, we did a Christmas activity to be reminded of the reasons for the season.  Sister Carter had organized the whole event then got Covid a few days before and was unable to attend (and she also missed the wonderful Christmas music she had organized for the Sacrament meeting that day as well. Siter Workman was able to step in and play for everyone, but it was sad that she was unable to be there.)

We didn't get pictures with the young men, but the sisters did better--

It made for a long day but it was a good day of being together and learning more about each other.  Food was great and the conversations were as well.
