Our Clarksville--Detour to Paris, AR

As I mentioned, we headed to Clarksville, but then made a detour to Paris since Christian--our only student for the day, lives there.  The fields were filled with hay bales for miles and miles--so beautiful.

Unfortunately, the reflection on the window caught my dress which I hadn't noticed for the first bunch of photos I took...then I started rolling down my window.

We arrived in Paris a few minutes early so Gary took a detour around the Abby and School that is near there.

I am not super into old buildings, but there were some cool arches and stonework on these buildings which have been around for over 120+ years...

As we were heading down to the main street, Gary started wondering if we were going the wrong way on a one-way road.  There was no way for two cars to pass.  He then realized that there was a gate at the end of the street as well.  He was pondering the possibility of backing up this narrow and hill roadway when we decided to approach the gate and see if there was a way around it or to open it.
As we did, it opened automatically.  Thank heavens as that backing up option would not have been fun...for Gary anyway.
Gary said that he hoped that it was operated by some friars watching through a camera who got a laugh of letting the LDS missionaries out of their property...I think it was automatic.

It was a quick but fun little adventure in the middle of driving the roads of Arkansas.  Oh, we will miss these so much.
