The "Dreaded/Exciting" TRANSFER Week

I decided that it would be fun to start a new tradition and take the Ft. Smith sisters to lunch with Jena on transfer week.  Missionaries are always glad for a meal as it saves them a bit of money each time, but it was just a fun way to be together and connect before transfers happen.

We love these sweet sisters.  We met at The Egg for lunch on Tuesdays before transfers were announced the next morning.

Sister Gray, Sister Beagley, Sister Cherrington, Sister Witt
Then on Wednesday for P-day, we took a treat and spent some time watching them play Chair Soccer which is a crazy but fun game that they or someone made up.  Elder Keller was going home this transfer and he had "planned" a perfect P-day which included pickle ball at the park (which didn't last long because of the heat) and other activities at the Church.
Jena and Elder Miller were together so Elder Miller could "protect" Jena if needed.....
This can be a competitive game especially if you are Elder Keller--far left--and it is your last P-day.
Jena wanted pictures with the Sisters--

Surprisingly, Hermana Gray got transferred after just one transfer here.  She just started her mission in Ft. Smith 6 weeks ago.

One of our favorites--Sister Witt was also transferred but that was more expected.  She had been here three transfers.
And a picture with Sister Cherrington who is staying, but Jena didn't want to leave her out.
Hermana Beagley also stayed and was made a Sister Training Leader.  She is awesome, but she has only served in Ft. Smith since arriving here in January. We thought she would be transferred for sure, but shows what we know.  The biggest surprises were that Greenwood was totally changed with two new elders and that the Van Buren/Alma Elders (after moving everything to a new apartment) were shot gunned out and two sisters were assigned there instead. Changes--it is all part of being a missionary and life in general.
