Texas BBQ--Dinner Wednesday Night

Normally I wouldn't make a whole post about where we ate dinner, but it turned out to be a funny event and one of those memories you will take with you----

After searching google and reading the reviews of several places and also noting the hours, we decided to go to Mitch's BBQ.  Google said it was only 15 minutes away.  It wasn't until we were on the way that I realized it was on the other side of town and it was 15 minutes away by freeway to the east side of town.

We knew it was in a strip mall because of the picture on the google app.

What we didn't realize it that it wasn't a strip mall, but a truck stop...

and the Toot 'n Totum and Mitch's and a Wendy's (I think) all shared the same space....not what we expected for our authentic BBQ dinner.  And they were out of ribs!

Jena got some kind of BBQ nachos--who has heard of that.  My food was good though with the traditional cole slaw, fries, and BBQ chicken sandwich.

Getting your "gas" inside and out
Live and learn.....
