I already mentioned that President and Sister Parker were going to be released on October 7. On October 3, they spoke in the Evening Mission Devotional and shared some of their experiences as they have served in different places within the mission over the last four and half years. They were the zone leaders over the Training Zone when we were first trained in the mission two years ago. Then shortly after we were called to be zone leaders, he was called to be part of the mission presidency over our area. We have loved working with them and are missing their sweet spirit and fun senses of humor.
Because of their devotional, we decided not to leave for Texas until the following morning. Probably a good thing as I don't think I would have been ready to leave on Monday afternoon..........
