More Looks at The Joseph Smith Memorial Building

while waiting for Church to start in our branch--Ensign Peak Branch.

The ceiling over the lobby is beautiful...

Not my preferred choice of decor, but beautiful in that old-fashion way...
Gary and Jena taking a stroll on the Mezzanine over looking the main lobby of the building...
Looking up.....
Closeups of the decor around the top...

Our selfie---
This building was once known as the Hotel Utah.  I believe that my parents stayed here the night they got married in the nearby Salt Lake Temple.  It was redone completely and reopened in 1993 as the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  Our mission office is on the 3rd floor of this building along with a variety of other businesses and Church offices.

The chapel that we meet in is on this floor and is in an old ballroom of the building that was changed to a chapel.  It has the same type of decor in there as you see in these photos.  Not typical for a typical Chapel!
