Windy Wednesday

which was perfect because we wanted to go to a park on base and fly kites.  I had brought some from the States and it was a great day--clear and windy.  The park was on a high point of the base with views everywhere.

This was a morning for Grandparent time with kites, bubbles and balls....
We all had fun flying kites and playing with Niki.
The only downside was that I hadn't upgraded the string so our kites
couldn't go too high--however on an Air Force base that was
probably wise.

Tosha's flying two kites while sitting on the ground.  That is how good the wind was for flying kites.

Bubbles and balls were also great.
Niki can kick a ball a fairly good distance.  He loves to kick and chase it and kick again.

Tosha had to run a friend to the doctor's that afternoon so Austen and I had Niki and then I watched Niki when Austen went to work.  Tosha then brought her friend Cha back home and she hung out with us the rest of the evening.  Tosha and Austen were the "sponsor" family for Cha and Matt when they moved to the base about 6 weeks ago.  They have become friends and it was fun to spend some time with her.  We played Scatagories all through Niki's afternoon nap.  Austen and Matt came home for their dinner break so we got to meet Matt as well.
