Happy Birthday, Elder Phillips!

Yesterday, we met up with Elder Phillips and Elder Holland for lunch to celebrate Elder Phillips' birthday.  Elder Phillips was one of the young missionaries in the YSA branch when we first got here last year.  He and his companion taught us so much about missionary life and how things worked.  We love them.  Typically, we don't take "former" zone missionaries out for their birthdays--but we had to drive a truck up to the mission office and we often meet Ellises for lunch or dinner each month, so we decided we could do all of those things AND celebrate Elder Phillip's birthday which is today.

He chose a Mexican restaurant in Springdale and Ellises and Rodebacks joined us  (they are the car people so they took the truck back to the mission office) and it was so great. We loved catching up with Elder Phillips and meeting his companion, Elder Holland.  They are great young men and excellent missionaries.  They were actually in the MTC together and they are enjoying being together.  Elder Smythe is now in their zone and lives right next door and they are LOVING him as well.

The windows made the pictures not really work out.  Oh well!

We love these amazing missionaries--young and old!
