Time is flying by in these six week transfer cycles. On the fifth week of each transfer, we have 7 apartments to inspect to make sure they are clean and in good repair. Overall, the missionaries do a pretty good job although this time there were a couple of ovens and microwaves that needed some attention.
Jena made cute signs for the missionaries--
The signs were attached to a box of Lucky Charms since it was right before St. Patrick's Day!
On the yellow sheet is a scripture thought for the month as well.
Jena loves to make these and it is fun to see them hung on the walls in some of the apartments!
We did that in the middle of the week, but on Saturday as we were taking a backroad to Clarksville to do their inspection, we passed by this sign---I wanted a picture so Gary made a U-turn twice so that I could have a picture.
We weren't the only ones that realized that our blessings came from God, not by luck!
Sweet message to us from the Ft. Smith Sisters |

Somehow we missed this display on the walls of one of the apartments--the closeup face is the former Mission president and has the word "Behave." The other picture with the glare on it is our current mission president while he is teaching at a meeting. Missionaries are funny (or is that fun) people!
In the middle of the trees still in winter season, there are many many of these trees filled with pink blossoms.
Some fields have already had a first mowing of their grasses...
We had some extra time before our appointment in Prairie Grove so we stopped back at the local cemetery to continue our picture taking there. Gary said later that many of the pictures we took on Thursday were missing from Find A Grave so it was a productive stop.
And the Prairie Grove sisters have decorated their tree for St. Patrick's Day, although they have Easter "waiting in the wings"(--actually behind the tree.)
A sister in the ward who loves to make quilts gave the sisters each one for their beds. How great is that! She makes about 2-3 quilt tops a day 5 days a week and donates them to local charities, non-profits, and family and friends. The sisters feel very honored to have one of their own. I love the llama and other animals on this one.
Sister Worthington loves the ocean and this is hers.
On Saturday before heading to Clarksville, we stopped in Van Buren at Paul's Bakery to pick up some cookies for the YSA Branch (and some extra for the missionaries). They had the cutest sign.
Then on the way to the freeway, we passed the Van Buren Dipping Dots with an old fashion "car" pushing out through the walls. People are creative--each in their own ways. The grasses are turning green everywhere, but you can still see through the trees. In a month or more, the trees will all be green and views will be restricted again.
On a fence around a pasture.....all along this fence it had several of these wire cut outs on the gates and fence posts.
The world is a wonderful place and the people make it more interesting.
Our "Be Real" photo with the Clarksville Elders...
