Another Funeral And A Play

While we were in Israel, Karla texted us and told us that her mother, Donna Buckmiller,  had passed away on October 20 at the age of almost 98.  It was again a relief because her mother had been alone for a long time and also was struggling in many physical ways over the past several months.  It is still a great loss to have your mother pass away especially only a month after my dad, her husband, had passed away.

Her family all gathered together and had a graveside service for her on Saturday, October 29.  All but one grandson in law and one great grandchild was in attendance.  I think that was actually a great blessing for Karla and for her sister, Kathy, to have their families together especially since most of them were unable to attend Dad's funeral.  Family time is part of the healing and I think they had some good times together over that weekend.

We left from there and headed home to change and then off to the.......

.....Hale Theater "Lucky Stiff!"

We had never seen this play before but it was a great Saturday afternoon break in the Jewel Box Theatre at the Hale Theatre.  We were still struggling a bit with jet lag but managed to make it through the whole show--good planning that it was the afternoon and not the evening show!

We will miss the Hale Theater as we head east for our next mission next year.  Something to look forward to as we return to Utah in 2024.
