Views From Missionary Life

Jena got a late birthday gift in the mail.  It was sent to another missionary from a former missionary who is Jena's friend.  How sweet is that!

A fall view from the fourth floor of the Church History Library to the south.  You can see the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and then the Zion Bank behind that.
And we moved offices AGAIN--this is mine and Jena's office.....

and here is Gary's...slightly more privacy than our spot next door but inconvenient as well.  Oh, well--we are missionaries and we are here to help--not create problems.

After having lunch at the COB, we had to head through the first floor to visit one of the offices.  I loved the art on the wall along the way...so I took some pictures.

I found this artist's signature interesting.  It is on the painting below.

I love the light on this painting--both the actual light and the light painted by the artist--
and surprise--around the corner, these were on the wall.

This one is the base for our mission wide zone leader training some of the time.
and I liked this one--we should all learn to build our capability to serve the Lord, improve our talent, draw the best to the cause, and enable ourselves and others to act.

And a look out into the construction area which used to be a foundation and pathways.  This is south of the Church Office Building toward the Administration Building and the JSMB.

I will have to get pictures when everything is completed in a few years.
