Then Happy Birthday, Gary And Jena!

It has been more craziness during the time between Ben's birthday and Gary's and Jena's--Jessica and Elessia and family took a vacation to Disneyland which left us in charge of dog sitting OUR dogs at home.  So we stayed in Syracuse from the 17th to the 23rd and went back and forth to Salt Lake to do our missionary work.  Gary also visited our dentist and I met with my doctor to talk about my migraines  (he gave me a new once a month injection to try to control the migraines.  It has been two weeks and things are better so far...knock on wood!).

I had been asked to speak in Church again on the 19th so that took away the option of attending our ward (and turned out they were having stake conference that weekend anyway.)  Talk in prior post.

We were still in the middle of moving that week and that was actually when we moved our office from the west side to the south side of the second floor.

Thursday, the 23rd, was Gary's birthday and they discovered this dog floating around in our old office.  Since we had moved, Sister Jones didn't know and put it there.  Gary and Jena saw it when they were doing the mail.

So, we moved him over between our two guests.  We brought donuts for the zone and staff and sang Happy Birthday at our morning devotional.  Jena and Ben got cards and treats from a variety of our missionaries which was so sweet.  Jena is still eating chips from her gifts.

If you look closely, you can see "Gary" on the dog tag.
Then a couple of hours later, Gary came in and said that there was a quick meeting in the Winter Quarters Room.  Scott Christenson brought roses for Sister Forman who turned 89, I think, along with milk and cookies and chips so we sang Happy birthday to the three of them again.
The birthday people at work with the dog......

We went to the third floor to thank Sister Jones for the dog balloon.

This sign means "World Peace is not up to Sister Jones." which is a play off a conversation during Herd Mentality when we had some missionaries over to our house to play one night.

We also had a great birthday dinner at the Cheesecake factory on Wednesday, the 22nd- with the Carters (Kevin and Marcie from Kaysville). Hiltbrands (Steve and Jeannie from Idaho Falls) and Elder Nieman from California.  It was also Elder Carter's birthday on the 22nd so it was party time!  No pictures though.  :(

Jena and I then packed up and headed to the airport Thursday night for our second trip as missionaries--Mesa, AZ. for Kylie's wedding.

Can life be any more wonderful?  Trust me--it keeps coming....

I love reading the blogs. Didn't know you and Jenna were staying at a hotel in Arizona while there for Kylie's Valerie said you were staying with her. For some reason when I read the blogs I end up reading the most recent 1st to the Oldest. Maybe next time I can read them in order.
