Great Wolf Lodge

We tried to sneak in quietly to not wake up Scarlett and James who were already asleep, but Scarlett heard us so I got to give her a good-night hug about 11:30 pm.  Few things are sweeter than a hug from a sleepy grandchild (or child--I loved it from my own kids, too!--to be clear).

Saturday we slept in and then I curled up on the hid-abed with Scarlett, James, and Chantel as we talked and watched some YouTube videos about fish traps that James loves (he is his father's son, for sure.)  We had donuts (leftover from the reception) and yogurt for breakfast and then off to crafts for wolf ears...

And then off to the inside water park---not many pictures since water parks and phones don't really go together.......
The James wanted to head to the outside pool which I loved as well.
Scott and Chantel had run into my niece-in-law, Randee, and her three kids.  She was there with her sister and family.

Here is James with Max Giberson.
James playing with Jay, their oldest son.
And Scarlett, posing for the camera with her splashes.
It was a great day and we had a good time together.  I so appreciated Scott and Chantel making the effort to spend some time with Jena and I while we were in Mesa.  It is about 1 1/2 hours to their home from here.

They dropped us off at Valerie's where we ate, watched a BYU game, played games, and talked and talked to everyone.  We attended Church with Valerie on Sunday, talked some more and headed back to Salt Lake late that evening arriving about 10:00 pm.  Finally after a busy couple of weeks, we were back to apartment living and a more normal routine. Whew.....but it has been so good!
