Happy Late Easter with Scarlett and James

and their mom and dad, of course.  However, Jessica and Elessia's family had to miss our dinner and Easter Egg Hunt.  Alex threw up in the morning of the 19th.  Although she was acting fine by mid day. Jessica was concerned about sharing a bug with us and with Scott's family.  It was a hard choice because all of the kids were excited to spend time together with cousins.  Finally around 4, Jessica decided that they better stay home (turned out to be a good decision, because others in the family including Jessica ended up being sick over the following week.  So sad!)

So, it was a small group to share our big Easter Dinner complete with a true Honey Baked Ham, like Grandma Hall always liked to have on holidays.  It was yummy and we enjoyed spending time with Scott and his family.  After eating dinner and conversation, we headed to Facetime with Tosha and her kids (Austen was at work.)  We had arranged this when I thought everyone else would be at our house and it wasn't until later that night that I realized we should have done the same with Jessica's kids.  Opportunity lost. :(

Anyway, the kids played Family Charades (I had mailed some cards to Tosha for the event) and then we held a dance party with the help of Alexa playing the selected music.  We have some serious dancers among the grandchildren.  Aunt Jena joined in the fun as well.  We had a great time watching them....Tosha said it took her kids about an hour passed their bedtime to finally settled down.  They were so excited to have fun with their cousins.  James can do amazing head stands which I apparently did not get on camera.

Let the dancing begin....

Jena is trying out her own on the floor move....

Decided to turn the lights on for better photos....

A "James and Cooper" moment--they are two months apart
Then downstairs for the Easter Egg Hunt.  Not quite as fun with only two kids, but the candy is still good.
Scarlett decided she needed to make a card for her mom.  Gary said she knew exactly where to go in our house to get the needed supplies.  That's what Grandma and Grandpa's house should be like--you feel comfortable there even if it has been several months since you have been there.

Happy Easter, Scarlett and James!  It was fun to share some time with you during your visit.  {And thanks to Scott who helped with some moving items while he was here.}
