Last week was transfer week which meant on Wednesday morning we all got up at 6:40 am to hear about the transfers (and somehow I missed that we got a new AP in the process). With splits and other things going on, we got permission from the Zone leaders to invite the zone to brunch which we held at noon to give them time to do their shopping and clean their apartments.
Jena and Gary were helpful getting things set up and ready for 16 young missionaries to arrive..
The stove top serves as another serving surface when you have a small kitchen...breakfast casserole, French toast, and fruit. We love being with these great missionaries and just watching them enjoy each other.
The four sisters in our zone share an apartment in Ft. Smith-- Hermana Beagley and Hermana Boren and Sister Witt and Sister Holding. Sister Holding and Boren were both transferred this time. :( Sister Holding is going to another YSA ward in Missouri and they are so lucky to have her. Jena and Sister Holding have had a close relationship as well. We will miss them all when they leave...and we stay!
The Zone in P-day attire....
Despite the wet field next to our apartment, they headed out to play frisbee for a bit while we had conversations with those who wanted to stay dry.

Gary with the Mena elders--he spends a lot of time with them helping drive them to district meetings each Monday. This is Elder McKee and Elder Neese (in the middle)
Again, we lived a magical (blessed) life. Yes, we miss home and our family and friends so much, but the blessings of our lives are beyond counting! But these young missionaries are part of those blessings. Can't wait to watch them mature and move forward on the covenant path.
