Dinner-Jena style

At BYU, the girls take turns providing dinner for their apartment on Tuesday nights.  So the second week in September was Jena's first turn this year.  We were talking about different ideas--I am always looking for easy--and then Jena came in with a recipe for Sweet and Sour Chicken--with lots of ingredients and steps.  She is always asking me to teach her to cook more things and this seemed like a good chance.  We made it for dinner on Sunday and then made a second batch Sunday night and froze it for her to use on Tuesday night.  We loved it and according to Jena, her roommates loved it, too.
Cooking is a lot of work....
and it makes a big mess...

But seeing it work out and how excited Jena was about the whole thing was "priceless" as the ads say.

Maybe we will do it again next year!

(Cooking is really not my thing as you can tell.  Somehow I got Ben and Tosha who both love to cook and maybe a budding cook in Jena.  Not sure how that happened, but it is a good thing.)
