Face Time

Speaking of technology (that was a couple of post ago), we finally figured out a way to work the Face Time feature on Jena's IPad (it wasn't difficult, the problem was the Apple Account we set up for Jena).  Anyway, we got to FaceTime with Tosha on Wednesday night and it was so awesome.  We got a virtual tour of their apartment as well as their night time view outside their apartment.  It was nice.  Austen had already left for his graveyard shift at work so Tosha and I talked for almost 2 hours.  It was so nice to talk and SEE her at the same time.

We then FaceTime with Austen on Valentine's Day when Jena figured out how to do it herself and gave them a call just as we were trying to head out the door for our Valentine's night with Jena, Uncle Allan and Grandma Hall.  (Pizza Pie CafĂ© and Phase Ten).  Tosha was getting ready for their dinner out to celebrate the holiday, too.

I can see FaceTime will be important as grandparents.  I wonder if I can read a book to Baby Russell each week.  We will have to figure all of that out.

Speaking of Austen, he received a medal for some of his work when he was deployed.  Tosha said it was a very formal event and the first time for her.  She asked the person next to her if she could cheer when they called his name and they said no.  As it turned out the officer in charge did ask "Mrs. Russell, do you have any words for your husband?"  It caught her off guard and she didn't have anything to say on short notice.  She said she will be ready next time.  We are very proud on him.  He is a hard worker.

Jena and I will be making a trip down to Oklahoma over the Spring Break.  We will leave Tuesday afternoon, March 25th and come back the following Tuesday.  We are going to drive down so that we stop in Amarillo for Wednesday night and spend some time with my sisters, Robin and Lynette.  Then we will spend Thursday through Monday morning with Tosha and Austen.  We are excited to see them.
