Snow Day

And then on Wednesday the 24th we woke up to snow on the ground....crazy...

Early for us and it cleared up by the next day.  It makes you very grateful for heaters and houses and power when you watch the news and see the terrible results of the "Super Storm Sandy" in the days since then.  I have watched the aftermath even more intently now that I have responsibilities for Emergency Preparation within my ward and my neighborhood.  It is hard to know what is the first best things to prepare for when you don't know what is ahead.  It was crazy to see people buying tarps, flashlights and water on the Saturday before the storm hit.  They live on the eastern coast and how many times are they hit with these type of storms.  You think they should have that stuff already.

However, I am sure when an earthquake hits Utah people will say the same thing about us living near fault lines and not being ready......Hopefully we can be a bit more ready in the future than we are today.

Advice for the day:  Make sure you have enough water for 3 weeks.  :)
