First Up-date

Gary and I are sitting in the surgery waiting room at Primary's. We just got our first up-date and things are going great. The nurse reported that Jena was very brave and handled everything well as she came to the operating room and was put to sleep. She fell asleep well and they have been working actually on the jaw for about 10 minutes. We arrived here at 9:00 a.m. this morning and have been hanging out as they did the variety of things that need to be done before surgery. She handled it all well. During our free time, we played games (big surprise!) and Jena colored and played X-box. I was happy when I heard that she would have Dr. First to put her to sleep. He was the same doctor she had when her tonsils were removed last year and he was great. That is it for now. Dr. Siddiqi indicated that it might take up to 4 hours for the entire procedure. We will get up-dates along the way.
