ABM Mission Reunion (September 28)

Then on Saturday night, we headed to Draper for the first ever ABM mission reunion for President and Sister Collins and about 250 missionaries (of the 700+ who served with them over their three years.)  It was amazing to spend time with these former missionaries, to meet their new spouses and/or significant others and to catch up on their lives.  As always, I loved watching them interact with each other.  How they love each other and when they see a companion from the past, tears definitely were flowing. And it was fun to finally be able to hug those sweet elders--love the great ones that served in the Ft. Smith Zone.

One sweet moment in the reunion happened during a checking in game where one of the former missionaries asked a variety of questions and people stood up if it applied to them.  We were the most recently home missionaries for sure.  One of the questions was "How many of you have attended as a member in a MPL (member participating lesson) since you have been home?" Almost a half stood....so great to see them still involved and supporting the work of gathering Israel.

Sister Burnsides and Sister Wessmer--some of the best!
We ate yummy food, talked, and then attended a fireside with special musical numbers and remarks by President and Sister Collins.  It was a wonderful way to spend our first week home from our mission.

And somehow, I didn't manage to get a photo of President and Sister Collins.  Oh well, next time!
