Tiny Kitchen Problems And Other Stuff

I have mentioned this before, but my kitchen is small.  When the first round of French toast was ready, I ended up putting it back in the cupboard just to hold it for a minute.

I will miss many things about serving in Arkansas even things about this apartment but I will not miss the kitchen.

On Tuesday, April 2, our laptop computer broke (sad news).  As Gary is using that exclusively and we use it for our Institute lessons twice a week--it was important to get a replacement fast--and with the magic of the internet and on-line shopping, he was able to get a replacement delivered the next day, everything installed and moved from the old computer, and ready to use for Institute on Thursday in Clarksville (which we had to cancel since our students couldn't make it).

For about 12 hours, Gary had to use the TV as a monitor for the laptop since it was the connectors
between the screen and the body of the computer that broke.  Always a work around. (If you have a Gary in your house!)

One of my friends from graduate school is getting married and she was determined to learn how to do calligraphy by hand so that she could address her envelopes herself. She wasn't sure about that decision about half way through the pile, she posted on Facebook, but they turned out darling.

Spring cleaning time--the pantry!

We also had on-line zone meeting.  We had the Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday slot at 4-5. It is interesting because the Collins give the missionaries assignments and then they have a chance to go and do something and then come back the next session and report about how things went.  Although we love to gather in-person, I think there are some great benefits from this as well.
