The Allans Are Going To Japan!

Paula and Fred Allan, from Houston Texas, have been serving in our zone since last May.  They had been called to the Japan Kobe Mission but unable to go there because of Covid restrictions.  Since they had sold their home, they were sent to our mission as "visa waiters" and assigned to our zone.  We love them.  They are such hard workers and such friendly and kind people.  They would serve 4-6 hours in the SPC lab at the library and then spend 2-4 hours at night supporting the Japan Kobe mission over Zoom.  He handled the finances and she was the mission nurse.  They also helped with English-classes.  They are amazing!

Finally, they received notification that they could leave for Kobe and they actually arrived on April 6th, Elder Allan's birthday.  He had served a mission there and they had lived there as family for 2 years so they were very excited for this opportunity to return to a place that they love so much.

We all headed over through the underground tunnel to the COB for a lunch together.

One of the hard things about serving missions...friends moving on!  Best of luck, Allans. 'Til we meet again!
