Jena's Devotional

Jena gave her first devotional to our zone on March 22, 2022.  She did a great job!

We put the words up on the screen
because even with a mic it might be
harder for everyone to hear her.

The video portion of her remarks

This is how it looked for those watching from their desks or home.

Here is the text of her remarks:

In Matthew 5:16, Jesus said:  Let your alight so shine before men, that they may see your good bworks, and cglorify your Father which is in heaven.

When Jesus was on the earth, He showed us how to do this.

Every day He served others and taught them about their Heavenly Father.

We can be like Jesus.

We can serve others.

We can make cookies or brownies for them.

We can smile at them and shake their hands when we see them.

We can be kind.

We can pray for them.

When we do things like this, it makes people happy.

It helps them know that we love them and they can learn that their Heavenly Father and Jesus love them, too.

When I am done, we will show a short video which tells how one person learned to share their light in the right way.

This is my testimony.

I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus love us.

I know that President Nelson is the prophet.

I am grateful for my parents and to be a missionary.

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

She then showed a video by Bonnie Cordon about sharing your light in a purposeful way from the Church's website.

How great is that!  Jena was nervous, she said, but she did a good job.  We were so proud of her.  Talking in front of 25 missionaries in person and more on-line is not easy.
