On Friday, Lorna and I were finally able to connect. We met at the COB lobby with her husband Tom and had lunch and talked and talked until they closed the place around 2:00. Then we headed to our apartment and talked some more with Gary and Jena.
Still so much to talk about but it was so fun to reconnect. It is such an unexpected blessing from our mission. Tom is a clinical psychologist and Lorna has a medical background and they both serve in the mission department doing psychiatric evaluations on mission applications. It was great to talk a bit about mental health type of stuff. It made me realize how much I have missed that since I retired. However, more important was just renewing a valuable friendship and expanding that to include her husband, Tom.
No pictures, though. We will do better next time!
