It has been decided that Ben will be discharged on February 28 to the CRU which is an inpatient unit in Davis County. We are happy although we wish it could be sooner. We leave on March 1st for AZ and will not be back to Utah until March 22 if all goes as planned (weather-wise and other). However, the CRU is replacing its director and having some other staffing changes in February and they feel it is best to get that settled before Ben arrives. We do have permission (which apparently hasn't ever happened in anyone's memory) to drive Ben from USH to the CRU and take him to lunch and get a phone in the middle of it.
He is thrilled! We are so grateful for the staff he has had at the USH. It will be hard to leave them, but grateful that many of the same people will work with him at DBH including his psychiatrist, Dr. Schenk, who we love.
