Jena spent most of the summer counting the days until she went back to Provo and to her townhouse. They actually moved places this year to add some new experiences to the mix. The program had signed a contract for a house east of campus but the week before when they went to get the keys, the promised changes had not been made so they were scrambling to find a new place for 7 girls at the last minute. Not fun...but they did find an amazing townhome southeast of campus and with lots of hard work by a number of people and the generosity of family and friends, we got the house furnished and the girls moved in by Labor Day. Thank heavens for Grandma Hall's trailer which once again was so helpful as we transported two trailer loads of furniture from Davis county to the townhouse.
Backpack on and ready to go:
Our last load of furniture
Sara, Emily, and Jena are happy to be on the road to Provo once again.
Jena's bed--going with ocean blue this year.
Their townhouse has a loft which will serve as their classroom for Wonderwood. The townhouse has four bedrooms--two upstairs with a bathroom where the four girls are and then one on the main floor and one in the basement--both with attached bathrooms for the typical BYU students who are part of the program.
Posing in front of their fireplace--Sara, Esther, Emily, Myan, Megan, and Jena (Katie--the other typical student moved in later in the week)

They are part of a big complex which includes student housing, married couples, families and retired couples. I think it will be a great change for them and challenge them to meet more people and be part of their community in a different way.
Jena, of course, is all smiles on moving in day. She was so happy to see her friends again. Esther was their roomate last year and Myan has been a volunteer with Wonderwood for two years so the girls know her well. Katie is new. She is a friend of Esther's and Jena says she is nice.
So grateful for this amazing opportunity for Jena and for these dear friends.
