It seemed like a good idea--after the photo shoot, run down and have dinner at a local McDonalds and then everyone could head to their homes from there. The kids could play in the playplace and run around in the cool air and eat nuggets and hamburgers. What could go wrong?
Well, if you take 9 kids--6 2 and 4 year olds--to a McDonalds play place AND then start to play on said playground--and then you have to get them all out of it, because someone threw up in one of the tunnels (not one of our kids) you have a recipe for disaster. Kids crying, hot, and disappointed! And this isn't a simple fix as we discovered. The local employees can't clean it up. They had to wait for an approved group to show up to do the clean-up so it was closed the entire time we were there.
Jessica and Elessia and their family grabbed their food and headed back to Salt Lake. The rest hung in there, but it wasn't the happy ending that I imagined.
A kind man bought ice cream for the kids because he felt bad that they couldn't play in the playground.
Tosha and family headed back to our house while I took Chantel, Scarlett, and James to their house one last time. We kept busy getting some last minute packing done which always takes longer than you think it will. Scott had won 3 hours of maid service at some event so someone came in and had cleaned the bathrooms and other of the hard stuff which was very nice.
Scarlett and James headed home with their Berenyi grandparents as they were going to spend the next few days with them while their parents got settled into their new home in Tucson, AZ. I got home around 11, but I don't think Scott and Chantel got to our house until way after midnight. Moving is a big job.
