Jumping Back into Life

April 3rd--our first day back, I had nothing on the schedule which was good since I had lots of laundry to do and catchup around our basement dwelling.  It was great to walk through upstairs and see the door knobs, cabinet pulls, and other projects underway in the remodel.  Things are going well and the end is approaching.  Yay!!! And in general, I am thrilled with everything. I bought groceries and started with real life.

The next day, Ben and I both had doctor's appointment which basically took that day up.

And then it was General Conference weekend---that was so great!  It was good to sit in our house and listening and watch all of the sessions of Conference.  Being in New Zealand and hearing them prepare to watch Conference at Church the week after General Conference reminded me that we did that in Hong Kong years ago. We are so blessed to be able to watch in as it is happening.  (of course, individuals and families can watch in over the Church's systems live but the timing is not very convenient for that.) President Nelson talked about having confidence in the presence of the Lord. This is one of my personal themes in life so it was sweet to hear it addressed by the prophet. And of course, more temples were announced. I was excited to hear Rapids City, South Dakota, the home of many of my Morgan relatives (my dad's birthmother) as one of the new temples.

And so the themes of April--health concerns, remodeling, Easter, trip to Amarillo, and Special Olympic Dance for Jena.
