Easter 2019

What is it about being a grandmother that you do things that you won't do for your own kids?  Case in point--using Easter grass.  I stopped doing that years ago, because that stuff hangs around for months in your house. But nothing is too good for the grandkids, I guess.

Our Easter selfie---

As the kids got Easter baskets at home, they just have little "nests" with some small things at our house.  (And I just remembered that I haven't mailed the package to Tosha's family yet--darn!  Sorry about that Russells.  A later Easter package will be coming your way soon.)
Trying to get a picture on the stairs BEFORE the hunt without much luck.  It has been raining so we didn't go to Grandma Hall's to do it in the back yard this year.

The hunt is on! Zander did not want to wait for a picture......

Again, trying to get the four of them stopped long enough for a cute photo was impossible.  They had lots of fun rocking back and forth together.

Easter candy is a favorite---

Tosha sent photos of their Easter celebrations:

Despite Austen being deployed, Tosha even had the kids dye eggs and the whole thing.  She is Super Mommy!  (Dying eggs was another things I didn't do often with my kids as no one wanted to actually eat them, it seemed like a big waste of eggs.  Plastic eggs were good enough.)

Even though the Easter bunny and Easter Eggs are not related in any way to the purpose of Easter, it was fun to share some time with family.

However, we also attended a very sweet Sacrament program with beautiful musical numbers and four talks by two young men and two young women in our ward.  They did an outstanding job reminding us of the unique and priceless events which occurred at that first Easter when our Savior completed His mission to atone for our sins and sufferings and to die and live again that we all might live again as well in the presence of our Heavenly Father.  That message is always important and critical to everything we do each and every day of our lives.

Happy Easter, my family and friends!  Hope it was sweet--in both spirit and family!
