This past week was transfer week but it also was saying goodbye to five missionaries who have served with us in Ft. Smith since we arrived--Elder Judd, Elder Lindsay, and Sister Wassmer who were still here and Sister Cowley, Elder Gannon and Elder Mills who were transferred in the last transfer.
We took Sister Wassmer and her companion Sister Burnside to lunch at the Pad Thai (because it is our new favorite place) last Tuesday to say good bye. How we love her! She will be returning to BYU in January and promises us that she will try to make it to our homecoming next October.

Here is the group that went home this past Saturday. We served with five of them plus Elder Lindsay who went home the prior week because he had extended his mission. They all bore their testimonies on a zone call on Friday night and it was so great. Hard to let them go, but excited for their next steps in life.
These three were heading to Utah and sent us this photo on Saturday while they were waiting for their flights..Sister Cowley (Bountiful), Elder Gannon (Provo) and Elder Judd (Coalville).
Elder Judd's mom posted a family shot at the airport with the caption: "They really do come home." He is the oldest of four boys and therefore the first one to leave on a mission. It was great to see him standing with his family. He has been excited to see them as they all are. A mixed bag of feelings for them for sure--they love the work, they love the people, but their time is done. We are excited to see their lives unfold.
