Sam the New Missionary

...on the way to Arkansas Bentonville Mission.  Sam Gridley grew up in our neighborhood and was in our ward for many years before the split in 2016.  It was so exciting to hear that he has received his call to the Arkansas Bentonville Mission. We went to visit him and his mom on March 17 at home while he was doing online MTC just a few days before he was going to the Provo MTC and then to Bentonville.  It was so fun to answer his questions and to share the many great things about this sweet spot in the middle of America.  Sam is excited and desires to be a great missionary.  They are lucky to get him.

We took pictures and sent them to President and Sister Hathaway.  That made them happy and they said they would take good care of him.

All of us

Because we are still on the ABM Facebook group, we were able to see that he arrived safely and was assigned to Elder Tonks as his first companion.  We love Elder Tonks and we know they will have a great time together.  Elder Tonks started his mission in Ft. Smith and stayed about 6 months.  He is one of the great ones for sure.  We shared the news with his mom which made her happy, too.  It is a great world we live in.
