Hall Reunion 2024 (The Cousin Crew, according to Liam)

 The "bare" facts---

November 24-27, 2024  We gathered on Sunday evening and partied until Wednesday morning.

Location:  Eden, UT in Ogden Valley.  About an hour from our home and just down the road and around the corner to Vonette and Gary's home in Nordic Valley.

The house had 9 bedrooms, a great yard, and nice interior spaces.  (It wasn't the most put together house we stayed in and we had to have the maintenance person come twice to repair things or bring us missing items. However, it provided a good framework for our reunion and we were grateful that we could access such a place to gather.)

All 20 of us were there---10 adults and 10 grandkids--ages 69 down to almost 4 years old.

We ate 8 meals, celebrated Ava's 6th birthday on Sunday, got professional family photos, play games every day, played in the snow which happened to fall on Tuesday--perfect timing, crafts, conversations, had a visit with Karla,  and just being together. And of course, new cousin pajamas!

Let's start with Sunday---

We gathered in the late afternoon.  Roads were clear and travel was good which is often the first worry related to winter reunions.

View out the back--On Sunday and Monday, there was enough
shade from the house to preserve some snow which
our grandchildren loved.

While the adults enjoyed smoked chicken pasta salad, the grandkids had chicken nuggets and tater tots--a win-win.

Ava getting ready to open her presents--celebrating with cousins is an extra bonus.

And after cupcakes and ice cream, it was the cousins' turns for their gift----
The oldest three....Liam, Niki, and Scarlett---

The twins---Carter and Alex

The line up---front

and backs.....Zander liked having his name on front so during the rest of the week, he often his shirt on backwards.
And with Aunt Jena....

We reviewed old photos which I had scanned and in-between we asked questions to get to know each other better.  I had bought these cute white boards to use, thinking I was so clever, and the house actually had a whole stack of them with small erasers and pens as well. It was fun to learn each other's favorite snacks or places they would like to visit.

Bedtime is always an adventure when you have 10 kids under the age of 11--and not sleeping in their own beds and their own routines.  However, the great thing about being the grandparents is that we still went to bed around 10:30.

The Halls are all in the house......
