One more story from our time in Israel. The second Sunday there were a lot of different tour groups. For some reason, Gary started talking to one of them who turned out to be from Branson, Missouri, which is in the area of our next mission. When I came up, Gary introduced us and we started talking. I mentioned that when we were first married, we had lived in Springfield, Missouri. He grew up in Springfield, MO, and was probably 8 or 9 when we were there. His house was a block and a half from the Church we attended and his uncle was our Bishop. How weird is that! He is currently serving as the Area Public Affairs person so we may run into him during our mission depending on where we serve.
AND THEN...
a few weeks ago, we were talking to one of our service missionaries who lives in Monet, MO, and mentioned about meeting Rick somebody from Branson and they immediately knew who we were talking about and told us how great he and his family were.
In the Church, it is a small world indeed.
