Last Wednesday we had a meeting on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and afterwards we took the opportunity to be "tourists" and take a look at the continuing construction all around the grounds of Temple Square...and it was fun to see the Joseph Smith Memorial Building from a different view as well. We did a few events and I had lots of meetings in this building for Families Supporting Adoption but that was before phone camera so I wasn't trying to take pictures out the windows at every opportunity.
Toward the east where they are redoing parking and the fountain in-between the COB and the Administration Building.
Directly east--the red-bricked apartment building in the middle of the photo is our building. If I knew how to draw a circle, I would--it is a couple of buildings behind the one with the red roof. Our apartment is on the left end of the building on 1st Ave.Never miss a chance to see the mountains when you have a nice view--
Roof details on the JSMB--
West--this is the spot where the South Visitors Center was located. Always lots of cranes when you take pictures around the Temple these days.
Here is the entrance to the tunnel between the temple and the Conference Center that President Nelson showed during conference.
It would have been very amazing to be serving here with the Salt Lake Temple totally functioning. How great it would be to walk to the temple. HOWEVER, if not that, it is a very historical time to be here during this major reconstruction project. It is very interesting to watch.
