It was a beautiful drive up the hill.
After googling it, we learned that if a land formation is 2000' it is considered a mountain not a hill. Which is how Cavanal hill came to fame as being 1999' the tallest hill in the world.
That measurement is disputed as it is around 2300' above sea level. The 1999' comes from the river bed of the Poteau which flows in the base of the valley.
Regardless if it is the "tallest hill in the world," it has a beautiful view of the valley and it was a pretty drive up and down.
And if someone asks me to share a unique fact about myself sometime in the future, I can always say that I went to the top of the highest hill in the world! Can you?
Small towns are fun...
