Some nights the sky is so blue, the white of the snow capped mountains so clean, that a full moon makes you pause and simply marvel at it! You have to appreciate the genius of having this little moon traveling around our earth as we travel around the sun. Of course, there is all of that important science stuff it does with the tides of the oceans and measuring the earth's journey around the sun and so forth. But it is the sheer beauty of it which has inspired artists and poets, musicians and authors, and lovers of all ages. This photo doesn't do justice to the gorgeous sight a few weeks ago...but it holds a spot to remind me of the memory of it that night!
