Jena has been excited about seeing this play all year. She loves this musical. Originally, we had tickets for July, but then we decided that it would be a perfect "thank you and good bye" for our great assistant zone leaders. Of course, back when we made the plan, our mission was set to be completed on September 22, so we assumed we would be released sometime in August. Now, we are staying until February and they are all due to be released in October and November so it became more of a "thank you and goodbye to them" even though they aren't released yet. We had hoped to have President and Sister Parker join us (also as a thank you to them) but it turned out that they had tickets for the same show at the same time. They saw us across the stage near the end of the intermission but couldn't catch up with us afterwards so no pictures with them. Instead we invited the Blasneks who were so fun to share the evening with.
And Singing In the Rain was amazing--and came complete with rain on the stage (and some of the people on the first rows as he danced and splashed the water.) At one point, he laid on the floor and made a "snow" angel in the water. That illustrates how MUCH water fell! It was a fun production of a fun play.
