Willard Bay 2020--Sunday evening

Liam's goal for the summer was camping in "the mountains" with Grandpa and Grandma.  He can check that off the list as we spent a couple of nights at Willard Bay (not actually the mountain heights, but still camping) to spend time with Scott, Chantel and family.  They are in town for a week as Chantel's sister, Jessica, got married yesterday (July 18th).

WIllard Bay- Cottonwood Campgroup #44-

We took an evening stroll down the path together---

Kids in front and the rest of us trailing behind--
The trail ended up at Eagle Bay so the kids got some time to toss rocks into the water.
Have I mentioned how I love watching my grandchildren playing in water and sand?
Sun was setting and the mosquitoes were waking up...poor Carter got the hardest hit by them.
Photo moment with Zander and Jena.

Near our campsite was a hill.....with a path....
so hope they went---and it is still pretty hot at this time--in the 90s.

We had to go retrieve them as we weren't sure the little ones could make it safely back down the hill.

While Jessica and Elessia were getting things ready in the tent, we played in the RV.  Liam LOVED the RV.  At one point, he was sitting up on the bunk bed and did a sweeping motion with his arm and declared, "This is amazing!"

We hadn't told the kids that Grandpa was leaving to go pick up Scarlett who was going to spend the night with us.  I wish you all could have heard Liam's surprised and delighted expression when he thought he heard her voice coming into the RV.  "Is that Scarlett?" and he rushed to find her.  Scarlett was thrilled to also meet her two baby GIRL cousins who had grown up a lot since she saw them a year ago.
Alex and Carter loved climbing up like everyone else.
At one point, Carter crawled over to Scarlett and gave her a huge hug and cuddles.  Needless to say, Scarlett loved that, too.
With everyone else off to their tent, Grandpa off home to watch the dogs and bring Ben back in the morning, it was a lot quieter in the RV.  We got our pjs on and had some girl talk.  Even after I headed to sleep, Scarlett and Jena were talking and giggling in their beds with each other.  Jena loves being an aunt.
It was just after 11 when it finally was quiet in the RV and the only sounds we heard were the crickets and trains on a nearby track.  Big water day tomorrow!
