We celebrated Gary's birthday in Rome--not sure we will top that again. However, while we were gone, Ben, Jena, and Elessia also had their birthdays. So when we celebrated the twins's birthday we also celebrated all of their birthdays as well with a "mixed" cake of different slices of different types of cake.
And after Jessica and Elessia left, we had another gift opening with Ben and Jena.

We had left a big box for Jena at her apartment in Provo where she was on her actual birthday. It was filled with things to decorate their living room, a birthday banner, etc. as well as stuff to make and decorate cupcakes. They ended up having a number of volunteers come over in the evening to finish up the decorating and deliver cupcakes to some of Jena's neighbors. If you know Jena, nothing could celebrate her birthday more than serving others with her friends.
The box also included a birthday card for Jena with a special note about her birthday gift from us...two tickets to ................(see the next post!)
